Professor Vanessa Ferreira is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Oxford.
She is a cardiologist, and Deputy Clinical Director of the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR).
She obtained her Bachelor of Science at MIT and her PhD at the University of Oxford.
She is the current SCMR Secretary Treasurer, in line to be SCMR President in 2026.
Professor Ferreira has expertise in quantitative CMR techniques, particularly parametric-mapping, and their clinical applications in the investigation of ischaemic and non-ischaemic cardiovascular diseases.
