Viviany Taqueti, MD, MPH, FACC, FASNC is a cardiologist, clinical investigator and Director of the Cardiac Stress Laboratory at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and faculty at Harvard Medical School. She is an expert in ischemic heart disease and cardiovascular multimodality imaging, including positron emission tomography to noninvasively quantify coronary blood flow and coronary microvascular dysfunction. She balances clinical care, research and teaching responsibilities, and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. She is an elected member of the Faculty Council at Harvard Medical School, an associate member at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, an advisor at Broadview Ventures, and Chair of the Scientific Publications Committee of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Taqueti is originally from Vitoria, Brasil. She graduated summa cum laude from Viviany Taqueti, MD, MPH, FACC is a cardiologist, clinical investigator and cardiovascular imaging specialist who is Director of the Cardiac Stress Laboratory at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and faculty at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. She is a physician-scientist with expertise in applying multimodality imaging technology to phenotype cardiovascular outcomes in ischemic, cardiometabolic and inflammatory heart disease, with a special emphasis on quantification of coronary blood flow, atherosclerotic plaque and coronary microvascular dysfunction.

Dr. Taqueti graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University in biochemical sciences, magna cum laude from Harvard Medical School through the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, and completed internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine and imaging training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She has a Master from the Harvard School of Public Health and executive training in healthcare leadership from Harvard Business School. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Taqueti is an elected member of the Faculty Council at Harvard Medical School, an associate member at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and an advisor at Broadview Ventures, a mission-driven fund for impact investing in cardiovascular disease. She is Chair of the Scientific Publications Committee of the American College of Cardiology, on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, a member of writing committees for the AHA/ACC Guidelines and the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, and a former editorial assistant at The New England Journal of Medicine.
