Lindsay Freud, MD, FASE, FAHA is the Associate Director of Fetal Cardiology at the Hospital for Sick
Children and an Associate Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. Her research centers on
understanding the natural history of cardiac disease in utero and investigating percutaneous and
pharmacologic fetal therapy. In addition, she is interested in the impact of genetic diagnoses on cardiac
and non-cardiac outcomes. She has recently been leading an international effort to understand the
impact of a prenatal diagnosis of 22q11.2 microdeletion syndrome on perinatal outcome.
